# Plans and billing

> Free to start; Pro for unlimited notes, canvases, projects and notebooks.

A project's own note and canvas don't count toward the limits. Deleting something frees its slot.

## Plans belong to the workspace

Upgrade in **Settings → Plan & billing**. Pro covers that workspace and everyone in it. Only the workspace's owner or an admin can manage billing.

**Plan & billing** also shows how much of each limit you're using, your invoices, your payment method, and lets you switch between monthly and yearly.

## Reaching a limit

When a Free workspace has 10 of something, creating another asks you to upgrade. Nothing is ever deleted.

## Promo codes

Enter a code in the **CODE** box in **Plan & billing** (or in the upgrade window) and click **Apply**.

## Cancel

Click **Cancel subscription** in **Plan & billing**. Pro stays until the end of the period you paid for, then the workspace returns to Free. Nothing is deleted.
