# Students

> Pro free for 12 months with your school email.

Sign up with your school email and you get **Pro free for 12 months**. There's nothing to apply for and no card needed.

* It switches on the first time you sign in with an email from a school on our list (every `.edu` address, plus universities around the world).
* It covers the workspaces you own.
* It lasts 12 months from that first sign-in and isn't extended. After that, the workspace moves to Free unless you upgrade. Nothing is deleted.

Your school isn't recognised? Email [hello@octonote.ai](mailto:hello@octonote.ai) with your school's email domain and we'll add it.

> [!TIP]
>
> Professors and teaching assistants: publish a notebook to give your class a course site, with notes, diagrams and worked examples in one place.
